We are so excited to present to you our second overall/first collaborative litmag! This magazine is a compilation of works by members of Teen Unmute and In Her Words, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people understand what it means to be a girl. Combining the voices of both organizations, this litmag features 13 pieces and a letter from ourselves. 

The focus of this magazine is to share the firsthand experiences of different teenage girls, discovering how they perceive the world around them. Nearly every piece is a memoir, which makes this publication especially powerful to all viewers. 

We are so proud of everyone who opened up and shared their stories, and we hope you gain something from reading this.

Here it is, our first lit-mag publication! Teen Unmute's Overcoming Personal Insecurities is entirely created from the works of student writers and editors. 

Although it's thoroughly written in our second page, the "why" of this whole process is to provide a voice for unheard adolescents and speak out against the power of our insecurities by writing them out to dismantle them (and how adolescents were able to overcome them).
